Joint Research Centre Ispra – Rehabilitation of a Technological Hall (Building 45 A)
Project for a “Low Energy - Low CO2” for the ECOCENTRE Project.  Joint Research Centre of the European Community in Ispra (VA).  Award winning building.
Integrated design of the building envelope and technological plants with the aim of reducing energy consumption by 60%. A Canadian Solarwall for fresh air ventilation preheating, water solar collectors for DHW production, heat recovery of exhaust air, EMS, and water saving solutions were adopted. Year 1993-1996

Preliminary design of solar technological systems for the public swimming-pool building blocks in Falsomiele - Municipality of Palermo: water solar collectors for DHW production for the swimming-pool, dressing rooms and bathrooms; air solar collectors for ventilation air preheating; PV modules for electricity production.
Feasibility study, total energy and economy analysis for the solar systems.Year 1998.

Energy rehabilitation project of three public residential building blocks in Brescia for a total of 72 apartments, financed by the European Commission within the Thermie programme - 1996: “European Green Cities Network project”: technological systems design and energy consultancy services (ventilation systems, water solar collectors for DHW production, heat metering system and EMS, electrical plants). Year 1998.

Integrated Global Design for 68 Low Energy Apartments in a public residential Building Project with 161 Apartments built by the Municipality of Torino, Italy (EU financial support within the Thermie programme – 1993: “European Housing Ecology Network” project). Energy saving works: extra-insulation of the building envelope, ventilation system with heat recovery, low temperature heating system with condensing boiler, thermostatic valves on radiators, energy metering system for each apartment, 119 m² of water solar collectors for DHW production, passive solar systems. End of works: 1997.

Energy rehabilitation of the Mondovì (CN) public gymnasium with the installation of air solar collectors for ventilation air preheating: technological systems design for space heating and ventilation air. Project financed by the Regione Piemonte according to the Italian regulation Law n. 10/91, for promoting energy saving in the building sector. Year 1998.

Biomass thermal central  plant – Autoporto Aosta
Design and work supervision of a new biomass thermal central plant connected to the local district heating system for a total of 5 MW. Year 1999-2000.

Energy rehabilitation of a school sports centre in Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI) with the aim of reducing energy consumption and operation costs.
Design of solar systems consisting of two thermal Solarwall® south facades for space heating and ventilation air preheating and a Hybrid photovoltaic/heating solarwall system for electricity production to be discharged in the internal electric grid. Design of an EMS for controlling and monitoring of the technological systems.
Project financed by the European Commission within the Thermie Programme 1998.

Beauregard hospital in Aosta
Design of a CHP system for heat and electricity production serving the Beauregard hospital in Aosta. The system consists  of  two gas engines, each sized  90 kWe and 170 kWt (hot water production at 85-70°C). Year 2002.

Hospital in Aosta Viale Ginevra
Technological plants design and work supervision within the rehabilitation work of the hospital, including the realisation of a CHP system with absorbtion chiller system for heat, electricity and cooling production. Year 1999 – 2004.

New Finaosta office building – St Christophe (Aosta)
Energy rehabilitation project of a building area with a new office building  and the retrofit of an old building, where integrated innovative building technologies have been adopted, interesting the building envelope and the technological systems. Ventilated glazed building facade, energy efficient ventilation system with heat recovery, condensing boiler for energy supply and cooled beams systems for office air conditioning (soft cooling) have been adopted. Year 2001.

ORSIERA alpine summer home (Mattie)  and ACIANO alpine summer home (Bussoleno) - Orsiera Rocciavre’ Natural Park: rehabilitation project of two Alpine summer homes (2000 m a.s.l.) in the Orsiera Rocciavrè Natural Park. Total energy and economy analysis for introducing renewable energy sources technologies for electricity and DHW supply to the two Alpine homes. Final design of PV systems for electricity production and of a solar thermal system for DHW production. Years 2001-2002.

“Torino 2006 Prototype” project: 40 apartments in Vinovo (TO).
Public work to build a low energy and ecological residential building with the final aim of obtaining a standard (“prototype) for future building works based on energy saving and ecological criteria.
The energy saving used in the “prototype” building are a solar assisted heat recovery mechanical ventilation system for the apartments based on a passive solar systems; water solar collectors for DHW production; a PV system for electricity production; a low temperature heating system with condensing boiler and radiant panels; a low energy lighting system; energy metering system connected to an EMS; ecological building material guaranteed by certification. Year 2001-2002.

Theatre and Exhibition Centre in Venaria - Torino
Technological plants design for air conditioning and work supervision, including a Solarwall® type air solar collector system for fresh air ventilation preheating. Year 2003-2004.

Technological Centre in Novara
Design of a CHP system for heat and electricity production serving a technological centre in Novara. Total electrical power 100 kWe and heat 160 kWt. Year 2004.

Provincia of Torino – school centre in Ivrea
Design of a centralised biomass heating system for a school centre in Ivrea. – Year 2003.

Comunità Montana Grand Combin – Gignod (AO)
Technological plants design and work supervision for a new office building including a PV system for electricity production to be discharged in the local electrical network and a new GPL thermal central plant. The PV system consists in of 200 m² of PV modules roof mounted for a pick power of 20 kWp.  Year 1998 – 2005.

Idrocentro storehouse – Torre S. Giorgio – Cuneo
Energy analysis, feasibility study and final design of a solar ventilation system consisting  of a thermal Solarwall® south facade for the space heating of the storehouse. Year 2004.
